Malta Tractor Trot
The Malta Seedling Project is hosting the Tractor Trot 5K on June 27, 2026 at Malta Lions Park, 409 N. 4th Street, Malta, Illinois. The event is organized as a timed 5K with a shotgun start. Participants may walk, jog, or run the course; no prior experience or qualification is required. Spectators are welcome.
Registration details are provided in advance. Pre-registration opens May 1, 2026 and online registration closes June 26, 2026. The pre-registration fee is $30 and the race day fee is $35. To be guaranteed a t-shirt, registration must be completed by June 6, 2026.
Proceeds will support the Malta Seedling Project’s ongoing activities and future community efforts. Past and planned projects include community beautification, a Community Garden Club for vegetables and flowers, Music in the Park, Movie in the Park, a Family Fishing Derby, a Chili Cook-Off, town mural work, welcome signage, flower beds, and a walk and bike path development.
The event will provide water stations on the course and at the finish. For safety reasons, participants are asked not to bring four legged running partners. Participants whose actions create a risk to themselves or others may be asked to leave the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
