Event Overview
The Mag 7 Kickoff 5k is the main fundraiser for the Mag 7 Race Series. Registration supports other local races and encourages participation in running and walking events. All proceeds go directly to the Mag 7 Race Series.
Event Details
The event is held at Karst Farm Park in Bloomington, Indiana. Race-day registration and packet pickup occur at Shelter 9, near the splash pad parking lot. The entry fee is $25 with a shirt, or $20 without a shirt. The shirt is not guaranteed for registrations after March 21.
The course is a 5K out-and-back route on the Karst Farm Greenway Trail. It starts near the trail's southern terminus and is described as relatively flat with a few small rolling hills. The event includes both a run and a walk.
Post-Race and Awards
After the race, snacks and drinks are provided, and there is a door prize drawing. Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers in the runner division, the top five male and female finishers in the walk, and the top male and female runner in multiple age divisions from 13 & under to 70 & over.
Series Benefit
Everyone who registers for the race receives 10 bonus points in the Mag 7 Series Competition, even if they do not participate on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
