The Madison Firecracker 10K takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026 in Madison, Indiana (ZIP 47250). The race course starts on a hilltop with views of the Ohio River, runs down Hanging Rock Hill, and finishes downtown where post-race entertainment and awards are held.

Registration, fees and packet pickup
Race entry is $35 through July 3, 2026. A race day fee is $40. A race t-shirt is included if ordered by June 18; after June 19 a limited number of shirts may be available on race day for $10 on a first-come basis. Vintage t-shirts are available on race day for $5.
Early packet pickup is Friday, July 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Crawley Heating and Cooling, 3464 N Shun Pike Rd, Madison, IN 47250. Race day packet pickup and late registration are at Madison High School on July 4 from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m.
Awards and extras
Overall awards are given to the top 3 male and female finishers and to the top male and female walkers. Age-group awards (top 3) are offered in standard 10K run age divisions including 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 34-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, and 80 & over.
