Madie's Jaunt
Madie's Jaunt is a trail running event at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center in Williston, Vermont. The program includes both an in-person trail race and a virtual participation option during the event weekend. The in-person entry is held at the Catamount trails on May 2, 2026.
The event honors the memory of a UVM student and Army ROTC cadet who was known for her interest in climbing, backcountry skiing, and exploring Vermont's outdoors. The organizers note that the event is free of charge and that donations to a memorial fund are encouraged. A commemorative T-shirt is available for purchase with proceeds directed to the same fund.
Participants are asked to complete a waiver prior to arrival. The virtual option allows participants to run the listed distance at any point during the weekend window and record their time.
