About the race
Madibaz Sport presents the Madibaz George Forest Run at Nelson Mandela University - George Campus on Saturday 5 September 2026. The event offers three distances over paved road and undulating gravel through forested sections.
Entry options and collection are managed in advance; pre/online entries close on Wednesday 2 September 2026 and late entries close Friday 4 September 2026 for an additional R20. No entries are accepted on race day. Race numbers are distributed from designated collection points prior to the event and at the race venue on the morning of the event. The race number includes a timing chip that must be attached to the front of the vest. NO CHIP NO TIME.
Distances and fees:
- 21.1 km Forest Run : 16 years or older : R130.00
- 10 km Forest Run : 14 years or older : R110.00
- 5 km Forest Run : 9 years or older : R50.00
The event follows ASA and ASWD rules. Club athletes must compete in official club colours and display ASA license numbers; temporary licensed athletes must produce proof of age and display category tags to qualify for age prizes. Earphones and animals are not permitted. Water stations will be provided at roughly 3 km intervals and distance markers will appear every kilometer. Toilets are available at the start and finish area; there are no shower facilities. Prize money is listed for open and age categories and medals are awarded to finishers within the cut-off times.
