Madibaz George Forest Run 2026
Madibaz George Forest Run takes place on Saturday 5 September 2026 at Nelson Mandela University George Campus in George Municipality, Western Cape. The event offers road and forest trail running on paved road and undulating gravel through the forest. The race starts and finishes at the rugby stadium. Distance markers are placed every kilometre and water stations are provided at roughly 3 km intervals. Toilets are available at the start and finish area; there are no shower facilities.
There are three distance classes with minimum age requirements and entry fees as listed below:
- 21.1 km - 16 years or older. Entry fee R130.
- 10 km - 14 years or older. Entry fee R110.
- 5 km - 9 years or older. Entry fee R50.
Pre and online entries close on Wednesday 2 September 2026 at 17h00. Late entries close on Friday 4 September 2026 at 17h00 and attract a R20 premium; there are no entries on race day. Race numbers and timing chips are issued in a race envelope and must be worn on the front of the vest or t shirt. Prize categories include cash awards for top finishers and age-group prizes, equal prize money for men and women, and medals to finishers who complete their race within the cut-off times.
