Maddie's Mark 5k : Central Park Schenectady
Maddie's Mark 5k is the fourteenth annual community event held on October 18, 2026 in Central Park Schenectady, 500 Iroquois Path, Schenectady, NY 12309. The program includes a 5k run, a 5k walk, a family 5k walk and a children's race.
The 5k run is b-tag timed by Albany Running Exchange. Medals are awarded to all participants; the first 200 registrants in the individual race receive Maddie's Mark shirts while the Family Walk and Children's Run receive medals only. Awards include top three male and female overall and top three male and female in 10-year age groups.
Registration opened June 13, 2026. Registration deadlines differ by event: some events close August 15, 2026 and the Children's Run registration closes October 14, 2026. Listed registration fees are $30.00 for the individual 5k, $50.00 for the Family Walk, and $10.00 for the Children's Run.
Event activities on site include playground access, face painting, a Zumba warmup, children's activities and raffles. All profit from the event supports the Maddie's Mark Foundation, which provides Best Day Evers to seriously and terminally ill children in the local area.
