M.A.D. (Make A Difference) Dash
The M.A.D. (Make A Difference) Dash is a fundraising running event for the Harvest of Life Prison Ministry held at Thomasville Road Baptist Church in Tallahassee, FL (3131 Thomasville Rd). The event supports the ministry's work to restore and transform lives by showing God’s love and grace to those behind bars. The event will take place rain or shine.
Two certified race course options are offered. Both courses use chip timing and carry USATF certification numbers.
- 5K with chip timing; USATF course #FL25030JK
- 10K with chip timing; USATF course #FL25031JK
Registration opens on 2026-09-25. Pricing is tiered by date: through 2027-02-06 there is a lower fee and an option to add a Dri-Fit shirt for an additional fee; fees increase between 2027-02-07 and 2027-02-26; race day pricing applies for registrations on the day of the event. Registrants who register by 2027-02-06 are guaranteed a shirt. The first 80 registrants receive a swag bag. Race day registration is online only.
Packet pickup and the silent auction take place in the Fellowship Hall on the day before and the day of the race. The silent auction winners are announced after the race and silent auction donations such as gift baskets are accepted. A pancake breakfast is offered for spectators; bib required for entry and door prices apply for adults and children. Race certificates are presented to the top 3 overall male and female and the top 2 male and female in each age group: 1-12, 13-19, then 10-year age groups through 80+. There will be restricted access to the TRBC parking lot during the race; alternative parking is available at Dorothy B. Oven Park and The School of Arts and Sciences.
