Macon Music Half Marathon 2026

The Macon Music Half Marathon is the fourth annual half marathon taking place in Macon, Georgia on November 21, 2026. The event covers the standard half marathon distance, 13.1 miles, and has attracted participants from many states in previous years.

The course runs through parts of Macon that highlight the citys musical heritage, passing the Grand Opera House, the Big House, Little Richards home, Capricorn Studios, the Otis Redding Foundation, Mercers McDuffie Center for Strings, and other historic and cultural sites.

Race logistics note that the start area is at Carolyn Crayton Park and packet pickup will be held at Luther Williams Field the day before the race and at the start area on race morning. Carolyn Crayton Park offers multiple buildings with heated and cooled restrooms, parking, a playground, and a skate park. Luther Williams Field provides heated restrooms, ample check in space, and seating for about 2,600.

There are five aid stations located at approximately miles 3.25, 6, 8, 9.5, and 11 with fluids available at the start finish line and at each station. Restrooms are available at the start finish line and porta potties are placed near some aid stations. Walkers are welcome; the course has a 3.5 hour time limit and a 16 minute maximum per mile rule after which sections are reopened to vehicle traffic. No pets, bicycles, or skates are allowed on the course and participants pushing strollers are asked to use caution. No refunds or transfers are permitted.

Finishers receive a commemorative medal and participants receive a long sleeve hoodie while supplies last. Awards are presented by net time to top overall finishers, masters categories, and specified age groups and must be claimed at the awards ceremony.
