Macon Music Half Marathon 2026
The Macon Music Half Marathon is a half marathon event scheduled for November 21, 2026, in Macon, Georgia. This is the fourth annual running of the event; previous years drew participants from more than two dozen states. The course highlights Macon’s musical heritage and passes landmarks such as the Grand Opera House, the Big House, Little Richard’s home, Capricorn Studios, the Otis Redding Foundation, and Mercer’s McDuffie Center for Strings.
The course starts in Carolyn Crayton Park (Central City Park). Amenities associated with the start and finish areas include heated restrooms, ample parking, a playground, and a skate park at Carolyn Crayton Park and seating and check-in space at Luther Williams Field. Parking for participants is available within Carolyn Crayton Park.
There will be five aid stations at approximately miles 3.25, 6, 8, 9.5, and 11, with fluids available at each station and at the start/finish. Restrooms and porta-potties are provided at designated locations along the course. Walkers are welcome; the course enforces a 3.5-hour time limit and a 16-minute limit per mile after which roads will be re-opened to traffic.
Finishers receive a commemorative medal. Participants receive a long-sleeve hoodie while supplies last; sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by November 9. Awards are given by overall placing, master categories, and age groups; awards are based on net time and must be claimed at the awards ceremony. Registration is open through November 20 or until capacity and has tiered fees depending on registration date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
