Macon Music Half Marathon 2026
The Macon Music Half Marathon is scheduled for November 21, 2026 in Macon, Georgia. The event is the fourth annual running of the race and uses local venues including Carolyn Crayton Park and Luther Williams Field. The course passes several sites tied to Macon’s musical heritage, including the Grand Opera House, the Big House, Little Richard’s home, Capricorn Studios, the Otis Redding Foundation, and Mercer’s McDuffie Center for Strings, plus other historic and cultural locations.
Walkers are welcome. The race enforces a 3.5-hour overall time limit and a per-mile cutoff of 16 minutes; portions of the course will be closed and then reopened to vehicle traffic at predetermined times. No pets, bicycles, or skates are allowed on the course; participants pushing baby joggers or strollers are asked to use caution.
There are five aid stations at approximately miles 3.25, 6, 8, 9.5, and 11, with fluids available at the start, finish, and all aid stations. Restrooms are available at the start/finish area and porta-potties are provided at several stations.
Packet pickup is scheduled at Luther Williams Field on the day before the race and on race morning. Parking is available in Carolyn Crayton Park. Finishers receive a commemorative medal and participants receive a long-sleeve hoodie while supplies last. Awards are given by net time across overall, masters categories, and standard age groups and must be claimed at the awards ceremony.
Registration is open online and by mail through November 20 or until capacity is reached. Entry fees: $70 through May 31, $75 from June 1 to November 9, and $80 from November 10 through race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
