Macon Music Half Marathon : Macon, GA
The Macon Music Half Marathon is scheduled for November 22, 2025 and is the event's third annual running. The race uses Carolyn Crayton Park and Luther Williams Field for start/finish and event operations. Registration is open online and by mail through November 21 with tiered fees: $70 through May 31, $75 from June 1 to November 10, and $80 from November 11 through race day. No refunds or transfers are allowed. There is a 3.5-hour course time limit (16:00 min/mile). Walkers are welcome; pets, bikes, and skates are not allowed. Participants pushing baby joggers or strollers are asked to use extreme caution.
Course, services, and awards
The course highlights Macon music heritage sites including the Grand Opera House, the Big House, Little Richard's home, Capricorn Studios, the Otis Redding Foundation, and Mercer’s McDuffie Center for Strings. Packet pickup is at Luther Williams Field on the Friday before the race and on race morning at the start area. Parking is available in Carolyn Crayton Park. Carolyn Crayton Park has three buildings with heated/cooled restrooms, playground, skate park, and ample parking; Luther Williams Field offers heated restrooms, check-in space, and seating for 2,600. Aid stations are located at approximately miles 3.25, 6, 8, 9.5, and 11 with fluids at each aid station and at the start/finish; porta-potties are provided at selected stations. Awards are by net time with specified overall, masters, grand masters, great grand masters, and detailed age-group prizes; awards must be claimed at the awards ceremony. Finishers receive a commemorative medal and a long-sleeve hoodie; register by November 9 to guarantee a shirt size. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
