Mace’s Hideout takes place in the Wet Mountains near Beulah, Colorado, and is offered in two distances. The event materials reference a long course of about 101 miles and a 50-mile option, with a limit of 75 entries per distance.
The route travels across both sides of the Wet Mountains, a sub-range of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and passes through distinctly different ecosystems. The event uses a 36-hour cutoff for the long distance. The organizer’s stated policy notes there are no refunds; roll overs may be considered if the entrant volunteers at one of the races that weekend.
The description emphasizes varied terrain and significant elevation change as defining characteristics of the courses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
