Event overview
The Macedonia SummerFest 5K is a community running event held in Macedonia, Ohio, at Longwood Park / Macedonia Family Recreation Center (1494 E Aurora Rd, Macedonia, OH 44056). The event includes a 5K run, a 1 Mile walk, and a Kids Dash. The 5K is chip-timed; the 1 Mile event is untimed. Awards for the 5K are given to the top five male and top five female finishers.

The course uses both road and trail surfaces. Packet pick-up is available only on race morning. Pre-registration and race-day pricing are listed: the 5K is $30 pre-registration and $35 on race day; the 1 Mile is $20 pre-registration and $25 on race day; the Kids Dash is free. Registration opens in April 2026 for the events listed.
Additional event features include T-shirts for the first 200 pre-registered 5K or 1 Mile participants (subject to availability), a free five-day membership to the Macedonia Family Recreation Center, entry to the SummerFest activities (amusement rides, games, craft beer garden, food), and a drink ticket provided by the local basketball association.
