Lydia's Run 5K : Somersworth, NH
Lydia's Run 5K is a community fundraising event held by Lydia's House of Hope on September 19, 2026, at 120 Maple Street in Somersworth, NH, behind St. Martin Church in the parking lot. The event features a 5K run and a family friendly atmosphere with activities for all ages.
Registration opens July 1, 2026, and closes August 15, 2026. The listed registration fee is $35. The event includes free face painting, snacks, goodie bags, a raffle, and post-race refreshments. Top male and top female finishers receive a customized medal, and winners in each category receive ribbons. Children and dogs on leash are welcome.
Proceeds support Lydia's House of Hope, a transitional-living program for women and children affected by homelessness related to poverty, domestic violence, addiction, and generational trauma. The program provides a structured, faith based yearlong program that includes case management, nurse advocacy, occupational therapy, mental health and substance abuse counseling, trauma therapy, and more than fifty continuous life skills classes such as parenting, nutrition, work readiness, time management, and finance.
