Course details: the swim is in freshwater with a rectangular layout that parallels the shore for the first 250 meters. The bike course is a large loop around the park, described as flat with all right hand turns and good pavement. The run uses forested single track with lake views plus wider graveled walking paths. Sprint courses use one loop per discipline; Olympic courses use multiple loops (2 swim, 3 bike, 2 run as noted in course maps).
Race format notes: organizers use a time trial swim start, sending two athletes at a time, and provide an Elite Box Start option for athletes positioned up front. The sprint and Olympic races serve as the USA Triathlon Delaware State Championships and provide qualification slots for Toyota Age Group Nationals. Registration items include a finisher medal, long sleeved tech shirt, custom socks, packet pickup bag, timed results, age group awards, a post race meal, finisher certificate, and free finish line photos.
