Event overview
Lucky Leprechaun/Running 4 Their Lives 5k is the 7th annual community run in Kernersville, NC, held on March 7, 2026 at 4th of July Park. The event raises money for Salem Pregnancy Care Center and is the first event of the 2026 DICK'S Piedmont Race Series, sponsored by DICK'S Sporting Goods and timed by Finish Line Timing. The event has a St. Patty's Day theme and offers prizes for the funniest and most creative costumes. The organizer describes the race as a family event.

Awards include Top 3 overall male and female finishers and Top 3 male and female finishers in age groups 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. DICK'S Bonus Certificates will be awarded; these work like cash at DICK'S and Golf Galaxy. Package pickup is open from 7:30 am to 8:30 am on race day, and there is no early package pickup.
