2026 LTA Foundation 1.975 Walk/Run overview
The 2026 LTA Foundation 1.975 Walk/Run is the eighth annual event, held in Detroit, MI (postal code 48202). The event is a non-competitive, untimed walk/run covering 1.975 miles. It is organized by the Lambda Theta Alpha Foundation to raise funds for education and natural disaster relief. Runners will meet at the site of the LTA National Convention (location TBA) and must check in with an LTA Foundation volunteer and complete a waiver to participate. Volunteers will be posted along the route and some volunteers will follow behind the group. Water and snacks will be available on course.
Registration, events, merchandise and raffle
Registration opens in March 2026 and closes on June 26, 2026. Event options include Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, a Raffle-only option, and a Micro Event for a local representative. Tier 1 registration is priced at $25 and includes an electronic runner's bib. Tier 2 is $50 and adds a medal while supplies last. Tier 3 is $100 and adds a t-shirt and a special gift while supplies last. The Micro Event option provides a kit for one local representative to organize a local virtual run; participants in micro events must register to receive tier merchandise. Merchandise ordered by April 30, 2026 will be distributed before the event; later registrants will receive merchandise by mail. Raffle tickets are $10 each and are available through June 26, 2026.
