LTA Foundation 1.975 Walk/Run : Detroit, MI
The Lambda Theta Alpha Foundation will hold the 8th Annual 1.975 Walk/Run in Detroit, Michigan on June 27, 2026 at the site of the LTA National Convention on the Detroit Riverwalk. The event is an untimed 1.975 mile walk or run available as an in-person event, a virtual race, or a local micro-event.
Participants of all ages may join in-person or remotely. In-person attendees must check in with a volunteer and complete a waiver and release of liability. Volunteers will be posted along the route and will follow behind the group to assist participants. Water and snacks will be available on course. Participants are responsible for their own physical well-being and are advised to monitor their condition and dress for the weather.
Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes June 26, 2026. Three registration tiers offer different merchandise packages: Tier 1 provides an electronic runner’s bib; Tier 2 adds a 1.975 Walk/Run medal while supplies last; Tier 3 includes prior tier items plus a t-shirt and a small gift while supplies last. Participants who register by April 30, 2026 at 10:00 PM ET will receive merchandise before the event. In-person packet pick-up will occur at the LTA National Convention; virtual participants receive merchandise by mail.
A designated team lead may register to host a local micro-event and receive a host kit. Raffle tickets are available for purchase at $10 each through June 26, 2026 at 10:00 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
