Love on the Run is an inaugural 5K Run/Walk held on February 14, 2026, at Babcock Ranch in Punta Gorda, FL (16050 Babcock Trail). The event offers two options: a chip-timed 5K and an untimed fun run that starts with the timed event. The 5K is chip-timed by Beach Bum Timing. Finisher medals and shirts are offered; the shirt cutoff date is February 5, 2026.
Logistics and course
The course uses paved roads and sidewalks. Bathrooms and water stations are located at the start and finish areas, with an additional water stop at the halfway mark. Free parking is available near the starting area. Early packet pickup is available at the Babcock Ranch Lifestyle Office, 42911 Lake Babcock Drive, on the two days before the race. Race day packet pickup is at Bluebird Park, 16050 Babcock Trail. Race day registration is available for a stated fee.
Rules and amenities
Dogs are allowed if leashed, vaccinated, and cleaned up after; owners assume responsibility and participants with dogs must start at the back. Strollers are allowed and must start at the back. Post-race snacks and awards will be provided. A course map and video are listed as available. Awards include overall male and female honors, masters categories, and age-group awards to the top three in age divisions up to 75+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
