Events
The event features two main activities.
- A chip-timed 5K run or walk.
- A Kids' Dash.
Course & Schedule
The 5K course goes through Summit, New Jersey. The start and finish line is on Railroad Avenue, next to the train station. A schedule of activities includes an awards ceremony following the 5K.
A Family Fun Fair with games, face painting, and crafts runs concurrently with and after the 5K, regardless of weather. The Kids' Dash is a shorter race for children held on the grass of the Village Green.
Registration & Logistics
Participants can register for the 5K or the Kids' Dash. Race day registration and check-in is available. Early registration by a specified date guarantees an official event shirt. Packet pick-up is scheduled at a local running store and a YMCA location.
Strollers are allowed on the course, but dogs are not permitted. The event takes place rain or shine.
Charitable Focus
Proceeds from the event support the free LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program, which assists cancer survivors. Participants are invited to bring a memento for a tribute tree to honor loved ones impacted by cancer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
