Love and Legacy 5K
The Love and Legacy 5K takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Summit, New Jersey. The event is presented by the Summit Area YMCA and is based at 67 Maple Street. Distances offered at the event include:

Race information and logistics
Proceeds support Summit Area YMCA community programs, including financial assistance for childcare, camp, and health and wellness resources, plus free programs such as LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and the Achievers mentoring program. The Kids' Dash is held on the Village Green grass near the carnival area; all Kids' Dash participants receive a medal. A Family Fun Carnival will run during and immediately following the 5K and features games, face painting, temporary tattoos, and crafts; the carnival may be canceled if weather conditions are unsafe.
Race shirts are available for those who register by April 6; no extra shirts will be available after that date. Race packet pick-up is listed as TBD. Strollers are allowed on the course with consideration for other participants. Dogs are not permitted on the course due to USATF regulations but may remain at the sidelines. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to top male and female finishers in the listed age groups. Registration fees are non-refundable.
