Event Overview
The Louisville Turtle Trot Walk/Run is a community sports event held in Massena, New York. The event takes place at Whalen Park in the town of Louisville, situated along State Route 131. The location is approximately 1.5 miles west of the River Course at Louisville Landing Recreation.
The race follows a 3.4-mile flat and scenic route that runs alongside the St. Lawrence River. Both the start and finish lines are located within Whalen Park. Participation is divided into two primary categories based on age:
- 3.4 Mile for participants aged 12 and older
- 3.4 Mile for participants aged 1-11
Awards and Amenities
Competitive recognition is provided to the first-place male and female winners across several age divisions. These divisions include 15 and under, 16-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older.
Registered participants who are of legal drinking age receive a ticket for a complimentary beverage from In-Law Brewing Company. Additionally, free T-shirts are provided to the first 250 individuals who register. Beyond the race, the event features several family-oriented activities at the park, including a bounce house, raffle and auction tents, and door prizes.
