Loucks Masters Mile
The Loucks Masters Mile is a running event held at the White Plains High School Track in White Plains, New York. The competition consists of a 1-mile race, which equates to four laps around the track. This event takes place during the evening under stadium lights, following the conclusion of the Thursday night scholastic track races.
Participation is open to runners aged 30 and older, making it one of the youngest masters categories available. The field typically includes individual competitors, coaches, and members of local running clubs. All proceeds from the registration fees are donated to support the Glenn D. Loucks Track and Field Games, a three day regional sporting event.
Participants can register in advance or on the night of the event at the packet pickup tent. The race is professionally timed, and results are used to determine several award categories. Recognition is provided for the top three male and female overall finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in various age groups. Additionally, an award is presented to the winning team or club based on the performance of their top three finishers. All presentations take place on the podium.
