LAST ONE STANDING is an endurance event in Spokane, WA organized by Phase One Missions. The format requires runners to complete a 4 mile route each hour until a single participant remains. A participant's challenge ends if they fail to complete the 4 miles before the next hour or if they voluntarily stop by informing the Race Director. No pacers are allowed.
The course is built from two laps of a 1.56 mile loop plus a short out-and-back to reach four miles. Runners will encounter a hill three times every hour on the loop. Elevation change per 1.56 mile loop is roughly 80 feet.
One semi-stocked aid station will provide Tailwind Endurance Fuel, NeverSecond 30g carb gels, 1st Phorm protein bars and energy drinks, plus water and additional snacks. Runners are encouraged to be self-sufficient for their personal fueling plan.
Crew access is allowed in a designated section of the parking lot as authorized by trail owners. Required gear includes a head lamp, running gear, food, water, and electrolytes. Participants may stage personal gear and camp on site beginning Friday evening; personal vehicles should be parked in front of the portable toilets.
Packet pick-up is available Friday May 22 at Fleet Feet Kendall Yards or Saturday May 23 at the race location. Registration closes on May 28. There are no refunds at this time. Completing the challenge earns a Phase One patch and registered participants receive a Phase One training tee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
