Loop for Life - Colby 3.2 Fun Run
This is a community run and walk event supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. The route is a 3.2 km loop starting at Saint John Church, passing through the local neighbourhood and returning to the church parking lot for a finish celebration.
The event is part of The O’Malley Rally ChampionsOfChange campaign, which raises funds for blood cancer research, patient support programs, and advocacy. One hundred percent of registration proceeds are donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
Registration includes a T shirt for the day, a BBQ after the loop and refreshments. Listed fees are 30 CAD for adults and 20 CAD for children 13 and under. It is recommended to register before May 1 to guarantee T shirt size. The event has a no refund policy.
Participants include runners, walkers, families and strollers. Organisers describe a community atmosphere with local sponsor booths, music, announcements and family friendly activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
