Looney Leprechaun Trail Races
The Looney Leprechaun Trail Races occur on March 7, 2026, at Tyler State Park - Boathouse in Newtown, PA 18940. The event is the 14th annual running of this trail race and is organized by the Looney Leprechaun Trail Races / Bucks County Roadrunners community.
Runners follow trail routes through the park and may enter one of the following distances:
- 10K Trail Race (USATF-MA event)
- 1/2 Marathon
Race operations note that entries will automatically transfer to a rescheduled date in the event of a cancellation; there are no refunds. All current Bucks County Roadrunners members receive an automatic five dollar discount. The organizers state they will follow safety guidelines and protocols from the CDC, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the Road Runners Club of America, and local township ordinances.
Logistics such as water stops, refueling stations, and post-race refreshments will be determined closer to race day depending on prevailing COVID guidelines. The event includes three-deep age group awards in ten-year age groups, and participants who register by February 21 will receive an event t-shirt.
