Longwood Monster Dash
The Longwood Monster Dash is a Halloween themed charity event held in Longwood, Florida, running from October 24 to October 31, 2026. The course starts and ends in front of the Historic Civic Center and tours Reiter Park and nearby neighborhoods. The event benefits the Longwood Historic Society; all proceeds are tax deductible and will support preservation work, including roof replacement on the Bradlee-McIntyre House.
The event program includes a free kids dash held immediately before the main 5K run/walk. Timing is chip based and every finisher receives a custom wood award. Participants receive a tech shirt, a custom bib with the RFID timing chip, and a physical packet that includes sponsor coupons. Fueling and hydration are provided with a pre race fueling station, water at start and halfway points, and a post race sweet treat. Photos will be posted after the race and a DJ will play family appropriate holiday music during the event.
Awards include prizes for best costumes in multiple categories, top three overall male and female finishers, and a trophy for the top corporate team. Packet pickup is available the day before the race and on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
