Longwood Monster Dash : event description
The Longwood Monster Dash is a charity road race held in the historic district of Longwood on October 31, 2026. The event begins and ends at the Historic Civic Center in downtown Longwood at 135 W Church Ave, Longwood, FL 32750.

The event is family-friendly and Halloween-themed. Runners are invited to wear costumes and prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. A free kids dash occurs immediately before the 5K; that kids race is not timed and is a short out-and-back sprint. Family-appropriate music, including Halloween selections, will be played during the event.
The event is organized to benefit the Longwood Historic Society. The society is a non-profit that maintains three buildings in the district, constructed in the 1870s and 1880s. One stated fundraising goal for this year is to raise funds to replace the upper roof of the Bradlee-McIntyre House. The organizer reports that 100% of the proceeds from the race will go to the Longwood Historic Society and that contributions are tax-deductible.
