Longridge Daylight 10k Trail Run
This is a charity 10 km trail run in the Ribble Valley, taking place around Ribble View Stud near Preston (PR3 3BN). The course follows bridle paths and footpaths along the banks of the River Ribble, crosses open farmland and starts from an elevated position overlooking the river. The route is the same as the Lamplight 10k route with reportedly improved views.
Participants may spot deer and other wildlife along the way. A GPX route is available for download. A gin distillery bar will be on site at the start and finish area offering drinks for participants and guests. Each participant will receive a free meal and a snood after the run.
The event is organised as a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to Chipping Football Club for a new 3G football pitch. The minimum age for runners is 18 years. Entry fee is £20.
