LONGEST MILE FOR BRAVEST MINDS
LONGEST MILE FOR BRAVEST MINDS is a professionally timed, one-mile uphill fundraiser held on Oak Hill Road in Harvard, Massachusetts on May 3, 2026. The course climbs about 180 feet and is described as a short distance with a significant incline.
The event is hosted by the Harvard Fire-EMS Association and will direct a portion of race proceeds to On-Site Academy, a nonprofit based in Westminster, Massachusetts that serves first responders and military veterans. Participants cited include runners, walkers, families, first responders, and veterans. First responders may participate in turnout gear, uniform, or weighted vests, or attend simply to show support.
Registration opens March 14, 2026 and closes April 12, 2026. The registration fee is $25. Teams receive a $5 discount or refund per team member after the sixth member registers. Race t shirts will not be available for online purchase after April 12, 2026; a limited supply may be available on race day on a first come first serve basis. Timed results will be posted online after the event.
A community celebration at Carlson Orchards follows the event and includes live music, a food truck, hard cider on tap, and a Touch A Truck area where children and adults can explore emergency vehicles and meet first responders. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
