Long Night in Lanford
Long Night in Lanford is a dusk to dawn trail challenge taking place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, near Enoree, South Carolina at 210 Service Dr. The event uses a 1 mile off road loop that starts and finishes at a barn on gravel, runs downhill into woods, crosses an open field along Beaverdam Creek, moves through pine trees and hay pastures, and returns to the barn. Expect uneven terrain and typical farm wildlife.
Participants complete laps continuously overnight. To be recorded as a finisher a competitor must complete the first lap at dusk and the final lap at dawn. The overall winner is the person with the most laps by sunrise. There are no cut off times and no required pace; participants may walk, jog, or run.
Overnight running requires personal lighting; runners are asked to bring headlamps or flashlights. Organizers will operate an aid station through the night offering snacks, water, and hot food, supported by volunteers and sponsors. Horn blasts will mark key moments including race start, an overnight direction change, and the final lap at dawn.
Onsite camping is available with space for tents and crew setups, and packet pickup is available earlier on the day of the event. Post race provisions include professional race photos, hot breakfast at sunrise, awards for top finishers, and T shirts guaranteed for registrations made by October 15.
