Event Overview

Long Night in Lanford is a running event held from dusk until dawn on a trail near Enoree, South Carolina. The format is based on completing as many laps as possible within the time window, with no cut-off times or speed requirements.

The Course

The race takes place on a roughly 1-mile off-road loop. The trail starts on gravel near a barn, goes downhill into the woods, passes through an open field along Beaverdam Creek, and continues through pine trees and hay pastures before returning to the barn on gravel. The terrain is uneven.

Event Details

The event begins around dusk. Participants must use their own light sources, such as headlamps or flashlights, after the first lap. An aid station will be stocked with snacks, water, and hot food throughout the night. Horn blasts signal the start of the race, a direction change at midnight, and the final lap at dawn.
