Long Night In Lanford - Enoree, SC
Long Night In Lanford is a dusk to dawn trail event in Enoree, South Carolina, organized by G.O.A.T. Trail Running. The course is a 1 mile off road loop that starts and finishes at a barn on gravel and passes downhill into woods, across an open field along Beaverdam Creek, through pine trees and hay pastures, then back to the barn. The surface includes gravel and uneven terrain and participants should expect wildlife.
The event uses a lap scoring format: the first lap takes place at dusk and the final lap at dawn; the entrant with the most laps by sunrise is the top finisher. There are no cut off times and no minimum speed requirement; participants may walk, jog, or run. First lap, midnight, and final lap are marked by horn blasts and headlamps or flashlights are used throughout the night. Participants are asked to bring their own light source. Strollers and pets are not permitted.
Onsite support includes an aid station stocked with snacks, water, and hot food. Gates open at 12 PM Saturday and packet pickup is scheduled from 12 to 4 PM. Post event offerings include professional race photos, hot breakfast at sunrise, awards for top finishers, and T shirts guaranteed for entrants registered by October 15. The listed entry fee is USD 87.50 and registration closes on November 20 at 4:00 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
