2XU Long Beach Marathon - October 10-11, 2026
The 2XU Long Beach Marathon is a multi-distance running event in Long Beach, California. The event includes a full marathon, a half marathon and a unique 5K that runs through the Aquarium of the Pacific. Routes combine cityscapes, ocean views and several iconic landmarks, including the historic Queen Mary and Shoreline Village. Roads are closed for the race and spectator-lined cheer zones are placed along the course.
The event features a finish festival with a beer garden, a 2026 medal and race tee for participants, and a legacy program that honors long-time participants. Organizers list volunteer roles and community programs, plus fundraising and ambassador initiatives. Several multi-race challenge options are offered, including the Long Beach Combo, Beach Cities Challenge and Golden State Challenge.
Age rules for participation are stated: marathon entrants must be 18 years old on race day, half marathon entrants must be 13 years old on race day, and there is no age limit for the 5K. Registration fees are non-refundable; the event may be canceled by management for emergency reasons such as inclement weather or other conditions, in which case refunds are not provided.
