2XU Long Beach Marathon : Oct 10–11, 2026
The 2XU Long Beach Marathon weekend takes place in Long Beach, California on October 10 and 11, 2026. The event features multiple race options and drew over 25,000 participants in recent years. All 2026 distances are sold out and organizers operate a waitlist for 2027.
Distances include:
- 5K runs through the Aquarium of the Pacific.
- Half Marathon covers 13.1 miles with city and ocean views.
- Marathon covers 26.2 miles passing landmarks such as the Queen Mary.
- Virtual races and multi-event combinations are also offered.
The course uses spectator-lined, closed roads with cheer zones along the route. Routes include cityscapes, iconic Long Beach landmarks, and stretches with ocean views. The weekend schedule includes an expo and packet pickup, official race results and race photos, and a finish festival with a beer garden. The event has an established Legacy program recognizing long-time participants and offers an exclusive 2026 medal and race tee.
Participation rules and policies stated by organizers: marathon entrants must be 18 on race day, half marathon entrants must be 13 on race day, and there is no age limit for the 5K.
