Event overview
The 2XU Long Beach Marathon takes place in Long Beach, California on October 10-11, 2026. The event features scenic routes that include cityscapes, ocean views, and several city landmarks. Roads are closed and spectator-lined with cheer zones along the course. Organizers expect more than 25,000 participants. The weekend includes a finish festival and a beer garden, plus an established Legacy program honoring long-time participants. A 2026 medal and race tee are planned for finishers.
Race distances
- 5K - Runs through the Aquarium of the Pacific.
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles) - Coastal and city views.
- Marathon (26.2 miles) - Course passes the Queen Mary and Shoreline Village.
Logistics and policies
Age minimums: marathon participants must be 18 on race day; half marathon participants must be 13 on race day; there is no age limit for the 5K. Registration uses tiered pricing; the current release lists a starting price of $66 and a final release starting at $88. All registration fees are non-refundable; if officials cancel events for emergency reasons, refunds cannot be provided. Volunteer positions and shifts are available to support race weekend.
