Long Beach Biathlon : July 18, 2026, Long Beach, NY
This annual biathlon combines a run followed by an ocean swim at Riverside Boulevard in Long Beach, New York. The event is scheduled for July 18, 2026 and takes place rain or shine. In-person registration, T-shirt and tag pickup are available on race day.
Distances:
- Adult: 3 mile run on the boardwalk, 300 yard ocean swim
- Teen: 1 mile run along the beach, 150 yard ocean swim
- Children: 1/2 mile run along the beach, 50 yard shallow swim
The adult run uses the boardwalk route between Long Beach and Monroe Boulevards, proceeds west to New York Avenue, returns east to Riverside, then descends a sand hill to a beach transition area for the ocean swim. Teen and children runs remain on the shore with shorter swim distances.
Amenities include free T-shirts to registrants while supplies last, live/text/email results, and free finish-line photos. Awards are given to the top five male and female finishers in standard age categories and all children ages 7–15 receive awards. Registration fees are non-refundable and participants agree to standard event waiver and photo release terms. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
