Locke Lake-a-Thon
The Locke Lake-a-Thon is the second annual community event organized by the Locke Lake Colony Association and held on July 3, 2027, at 43 Colony Drive in Center Barnstead, New Hampshire. The event offers running, walking, and biking options around Locke Lake and was scheduled for the July 4 weekend to align with local activities.
Distances and route notes:
- 4.5 miles full lap around Locke Lake, returns to 43 Colony Drive.
- 2.5 miles half lap, starts at the Lodge and finishes at North Barnstead Beach.
- 2.5 or 4.5 miles bike option available.
The half course finishes at North Barnstead Beach; participants are responsible for arranging transportation from that finish area. Parking for the half finish is available on Monroe Drive, directly across from Varney Road. The event start location is the Lodge/Pool 1 at 43 Colony Drive.
Registration opens April 1, 2027 and closes July 3, 2027. The registration fee is $20 per entry. The event description notes that participants may bike, walk, or run either distance as part of the community activity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
