Loch Lomond 10K and 5K : Overview
The Loch Lomond 10K and 5K take place on Saturday 20 June 2026 in Moss O' Balloch Park, Balloch. Distances offered:

Age limits apply: runners must be at least 15 years old for the 10K and at least 11 years old for the 5K. Maximum times are 1 hour 45 minutes for the 10K and 1 hour 10 minutes for the 5K. The event is listed as open for entries and has closing date 18 June 2026.
Routes, entries and services
The 10K route is relatively flat and fast, using paths within Balloch Castle Country Park and the cycle path along the River Leven, offering views of Loch Lomond and a mostly traffic-free course. The 10K route was adapted for 2025 so a loop between the 4k and 8k points runs in the opposite direction, including stretches along the River Leven and crossings at Bonhill Bridge and Stuckie Bridge. The 5K is held entirely within Balloch Castle Country Park and includes some inclines and declines with a downhill finish.
An early-bird special rate is available for the first 150 entries to the 10K and for a limited number of entries to the 5K. Race packs will be posted to entrants who enter by 8 June 2026. Refunds (minus a 20% administration fee) are offered for cancellations made by 31 March 2026; no refunds after that date, but deferrals can be requested up to 30 April 2026. Every runner receives an event t-shirt, a bespoke medal, water and snacks; prizes are offered for individual and team categories.
