Livingston Oval Marathon : event summary
The Livingston Oval Marathon and accompanying events take place at the Livingston Memorial Oval on Robert Harp Drive in Livingston, NJ, on Saturday, 17 October 2026. All races use the paved outside edge of the oval, a 0.44-mile loop. The course is USATF certified, certificate number NJ23041JLW, and described as flat. Race staff track each athlete every lap.
Events held on the loop include time-based runs and fixed-distance races. The marathon requires 59.5 laps and the half marathon requires 30 laps. Aid station items are provided by sponsors; athletes are generally close to food, drink, seating, music, and encouragement, and are never more than half a mile from help. Race bibs must be worn on the front. All participants receive a tech race hat and a finisher’s medal.
The Last Person Standing event uses repeated two-lap rounds with a 10-minute maximum to complete each two-lap requirement. Runners who finish faster may rest until the next round; failing to complete the two laps within 10 minutes results in elimination. The event website also lists local parking and drop-off locations near the high school, overflow parking options, and local lodging information.
