Livin' for Lynnie ALS Walk
The fourth annual Livin' for Lynnie walk takes place on August 22, 2026 at the East Side Shelter House, Swan Lake State Park, 22676 Swan Lake Trail, Carroll, Iowa. The event centers on a community walk and activities at the shelter house.
The walking route is about 3.8 Miles and is organized as a walking-only event that follows a path around the lake. The shelter house will be open and is air conditioned for those who prefer to stay there rather than walk.
Food and refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon. A food truck will serve lunch and will donate a portion of sales to the event. Pop and water are provided free of charge. Attendees may bring personal coolers with beer or other beverages. Baked goods and lemonade will be available for purchase at an onsite lemonade stand hosted by family members. Participants may bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and coolers. Yard games will be set up and a Corn Hole tournament is scheduled for later in the day. A silent auction will run inside the shelter house.
