Live Like Josh
The Live Like Josh event takes place at the University of West Georgia athletic complex in Carrollton, Georgia, located at 1500 Lovvorn Road. The event is organized by a nonprofit foundation that honors Josh and raises awareness about Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (CVS). The foundation sponsors scholarships to the University of West Georgia and Carrollton High School and directs donations toward research for a cure.
Event options include multiple distances and a shirt only purchase:
- 5K around the University of West Georgia athletic complex
- 1.1 Miles walk looping the Wolves Football Field
- 0.25 Miles Touchdown Dash for children 12 and under
- Virtual 5K (3.1 Miles) for remote participants
- Shirt ONLY purchase option
The Touchdown Dash is for children 12 and under and takes place on the UWG Wolves football field, running from one endzone to the other and back; parents may run with a child without additional registration. The 5K course travels around the athletic complex and passes the stadium, the wolf statue, and other athletic fields. Team registration is available and a team prize is planned for the most participants on a team.
Medals for the 5K will be awarded to overall male and female and to male and female age groups 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Early packet pick-up is scheduled 4/26 to 4/28 at SoleRoots Store, 150 Maple Crossing, Carrollton, GA. Race day packet pick-up is at the University of West Georgia Stadium Concourse.
