12th Annual Live Like Jake 5K - Wear Bright, Stay in Sight!
The 12th Annual Live Like Jake 5K takes place on April 25, 2026, at Downtown Abacoa at the Amphitheater in Jupiter, Florida. The event uses the theme "Wear Bright - Stay in Sight" to promote drowning prevention and child safety.
The program includes multiple participation options: an in-person 5K run/walk, a 5K category for first responders, swim instructors and military (no virtual or shipped option for that category), a 5K virtual run, a Sleep In option, and a Kids Dash for children age five and under. Registration benefits and incentives are offered while supplies last, including a choice of a high-performance race shirt or hat, a swag bag for the first 600 in-person participants, and a custom finisher medal for the first 1,200 registered.
An awards presentation follows the event with recognition for the largest school team, largest gym team, overall biggest team, and traditional age-group awards. The morning also features a Kids Zone with activities, music, and family entertainment. Proceeds support ISR self-rescue swim lesson scholarships and provide assistance to families who have lost a child or who have a child with critical medical needs.
