Event overview
The 12th Annual Live Like Jake 5K takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Downtown Abacoa at the Amphitheater, 1260 University Blvd., Jupiter, FL 33458. The event offers an in-person 5K Run/Walk, a separate in-person 5K category for first responders, swim instructors and military, a 5K Virtual Run, and a "Sleep In" option. For in-person participants there is a kids’ zone with children's activities and music.
Registration and entries
In-person race entries are marked as sold out. Listed entry fees are $35 for the standard in-person 5K, $30 for the first responder/swim instructor/military category, $40 for the virtual 5K, and $30 for the Sleep In option. Registration for the virtual and Sleep In options opens December 3, 2025. Registration for the first responder category opens December 23, 2025. The first responder category is open to ages 18 to 110.
What participants receive and awards
Registration includes a high-performance race shirt or hat and a swag bag for the first 600 in-person participants. A custom finisher medal is available for the first 1,200 registered. An awards ceremony will present awards for largest school, largest gym, overall biggest teams, and standard finishing time categories.
Purpose
Proceeds support scholarships for ISR self-rescue swim lessons and provide financial assistance to families who have lost a child or have a child with critical care needs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
