Little Miracles 5K
The Little Miracles 5K is a fundraising event held at Washington Park Pavilion in Springfield, Illinois. This event supports the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital, providing funding for various programs and items for young patients. The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities.
The event features several distance options to accommodate different age groups:
- 5K for adults
- 3K for adults
- 5K Youth for ages 9 to 17
- 3K Youth for ages 9 to 17
- Kid's Run for ages 8 and under
Participants receive a finisher medal. Award medals are presented to the top three male and female finishers in both the 3K and 5K events. Additionally, medallions are provided for the top three male and female finishers in several age brackets, which range from 9 and under to 80 and above. Recognition is also given to the top individual and team fundraisers.
Timing is conducted using a chip-start and chip-finish system. Participants receive their results immediately via text message, and full results are documented online.
