Little Hero Run
The Little Hero Run is an annual memorial event held in Toledo, Ohio, to honor the life and memory of Christian James Albain. This event serves as a tribute to a local child who passed away following a battle with leukemia. Participants gather at 2200 Kenwood Blvd. to take part in distances that accommodate different age groups and activity levels.
The event features two primary distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5k Run/Walk)
- 0.25 Miles (1/4 Mile Kids Run)
The 3.1 Mile course is open to both runners and walkers. Recognition is provided for top finishers, with awards presented to the overall male and female winners. Additionally, awards are given to the top three finishers within specific age groups. The 0.25 Mile Kids Run offers a shorter distance designed specifically for younger participants.
Registration for both events includes a fixed fee and remains open until late March. The gathering focuses on community participation in a local neighborhood setting to commemorate Christian's legacy as a "Little Hero." Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
