The Little Elm Polar 5K Run & Plunge takes place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Little Elm Park in Little Elm, Texas (135 Lighthouse Beach Dr, 75068). The event program includes a 5K run, a 1K fun run, a Polar Plunge and a virtual run. Early packet pickup for the 5K and 1K is scheduled for Friday, January 2 at Towers Tap House (290 E Eldorado Pkwy).
Entry and awards
Entry fees listed by the organizer are $50 for the 5K, $45 for the 1K, $30 for the Polar Plunge and $45 for the virtual run. Prices for the 5K and 1K increase after December 31, 2025. Registration for the Polar Plunge and the virtual run closes in early January 2026. Registrations for the 5K and 1K also include registration for the plunge.
Race services and awards
5K participants receive a Polar Run t-shirt and a finisher medal; 1K participants receive a Polar Run t-shirt. Polar Plunge participants receive a Plunge t-shirt. Hot cocoa and donuts are provided to participants in the 5K, 1K and Polar Plunge. The 5K is timed; awards are given to overall, masters, grand masters and age group winners (age groups from 14 & under through 80+). The 1K is not timed and has no awards.
Logistics
Late packet pickup and on-site registration are available on event day. Parking is available with a single entrance to the lot from the south, across the street from the Starbucks; much of the lot is gravel with a back section of grass.
