Little Colorado River Gorge Half Marathon & 10K
The event offers two trail running distances at the Little Colorado River Gorge Navajo Tribal Park near Cameron, Arizona. The park sits about 9.5 miles west of Cameron on Highway 64 and includes ample parking, dramatic overlooks, arts and crafts vendors, and permanent pit toilets.
Distances:
- 13.1 Miles half marathon, loop beginning and ending at Shadow Mountain Viewpoint.
- 10K out and back on the same route used by half marathon runners.
The half marathon route climbs roughly 6.5 miles to an upper overlook and follows a mix of dirt roads, double-track, historic Highway 64, and singletrack trail. Terrain is rocky with some difficult sections, especially between 10K miles 2 and 4. There are locations with steep sheep drop-offs of about 1,500 feet, so runners should watch footing and surroundings. Organizers note the course may be adjusted by park officials or race staff if weather or conditions require changes.
Registration is offered online through the race weekend and on-site registration and packet pick-up take place at the start area on race morning. Registration fees listed are $60 for the half marathon and $40 for the 10K. Both distances include overall and age-group awards, and all finishers receive a unique LCR finisher's medal.
