Little Blackfoot

Little Blackfoot is a trail race near Elliston and Helena, Montana, offering two out-and-back distances. Both distances start together near Kading Campground on Little Blackfoot River Road and follow the road to a trail that leads to the Little Blackfoot Meadows trailhead.

Runners cross two wooden bridges over a creek and continue up the trail to Blackfoot Meadows, which serves as the turnaround point for the shorter distance. The finish area at the start serves as the 15K finish. Runners on the longer course continue through the start area, cross the road, and follow the Kading Grade trail to climb a route to the top of the Continental Divide. The longer course then retraces that route back to the start and finish area.

• 30K out-and-back continuing up Kading Grade to the Continental Divide
