Event overview
Little Blackfoot is a trail race near Elliston and Helena, Montana. The event offers two distances:
- 15K
- 30K
Registration closes on Wed, Jul 15 at 11:59PM MT. To be guaranteed a race shirt, entrants must sign up by June 10.
Course details
Both distances are out-and-back and start near Kading Campground on Little Blackfoot River Road. Runners begin together and follow the road to a trail that leads to the Little Blackfoot Meadows trailhead. The route includes two wooden bridges over a creek and ascends to Blackfoot Meadows, which serves as a turnaround point. The 15K finishes at the start/finish area.
30K runners continue past the start area, cross the road, and follow the Kading Grade trail to climb a route to the top of the Continental Divide. After reaching the summit area, 30K participants retrace the same route back to the start/finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
