Lloyd Harbor School Little Apple Fun Run
The Little Apple Fun Run is an annual community event held at Lloyd Harbor School in New York. Now in its 32nd year, the event takes place regardless of weather conditions. The course is situated on School Lane, where participants travel down and back along the road.
The event features a 1 Mile distance organized as a two-chip race. To prevent crowding at the start line, the race is divided into nine separate heats, with each heat starting several minutes apart. The route begins and ends at the school grounds.
Following the completion of the mile, the event includes snacks, games, and music for all attendees. An award ceremony is held to recognize the top three male and top three female finishers across various age and grade categories, including:
- Kindergarten and under
- First Grade through Eighth Grade and up
- Adults
The event requires pre-registration, and participants are joined by local students, families, and teachers from the surrounding community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
