About the race
The LIRRC Wednesday Night Summer Series at Eisenhower Park Field 2 in East Meadow, NY runs during May through August 2027 and features weekly community races organized by the Long Island Road Runners Club. Events include a weekly 5K run or walk and a kids fun run that is offered free of charge. One evening in the series, Aug 5, is scheduled as a USATF-LI Grand Prix one mile race. Race-day amenities listed by the organizer include refreshments and water, music, finish-line photos and video, raffles including a 50/50, and post-race food provided by All Round Foods. Awards are given to the top male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 14 and under through 80 plus.
The organizer offers live online, email and text results, free race video and same-day finish-line photos. Entry pricing information notes a reduced per-race fee of $10 for members; individual membership and family membership fees are listed at $15 and $20 respectively.
