Linda Roach Fun Run
The event is held at Vernon River Consolidated School, which serves as the start and finish location. The course is a 6.2 km loop that includes both paved and trail sections. Registration is handled in person on the day of the event.
Entry is by donation; all donations go toward outdoor education initiatives for students. The run is open to all ages and abilities and is followed by the VRCS Spring Carnival.
The PEI Roadrunners Club states its mandate is to promote the sport of running on Prince Edward Island and to encourage an active lifestyle. Proceeds from most races sanctioned by the club go to charities, sporting organizations and other worthwhile causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
