Lincoln Days Railsplitter 5K and 10K
The Lincoln Days Railsplitter events take place in downtown Hodgenville, Kentucky as part of the 55th Annual Lincoln Days Celebration on October 3, 2026. The venue address is 100 S Lincoln Blvd, behind the Sweet Shoppe.
Distances offered:
- 5K - out-and-back route from downtown Hodgenville.
- 10K - loop through Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park passing the Lincoln Memorial.
- Kid's Dash (1 mile) - a short race for younger participants.
Races are run on open roads with a heavy volunteer presence. All events are cupless; a water refill station will be available for 10K runners and 5K runners are expected to carry water if they feel it is needed. Pets are not allowed on the course or in the festival area.
Participants receive an Honest Abe finisher's medal and a bonus race t-shirt. A shirt is guaranteed for runners who register by September 18, 2026. Awards are presented to the top two overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K, and a special handcrafted award is given to the overall male and female winners. There are no awards for age group winners. An awards ceremony will be held on the Lincoln Days main stage with a photo opportunity at the Lincoln Statue.
Packet pickup will be held at the race start on race morning beginning at 7:15 am. Post-race entertainment in downtown Hodgenville includes live music and food and drink options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
