Lil Chiggy 2026
Lil Chiggy is a trail running event held at Cape Chignecto Provincial Park in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia. Scheduled for late May, the race serves as a spring seasonal run to test endurance on coastal terrain.
The course takes place entirely on the Red Trail. Participants start at the gate of Cape Chignecto Park and run directly into Refugee Cove. Upon arrival at the cove, runners collect a physical token from a volunteer before returning to the starting point. The race time is recorded once a runner touches the gate at the finish and presents their collected token.
The event features a single distance option:
- Approximately 24 km (Into the Cove and back)
The geography of Cape Chignecto Provincial Park is defined by technical single-track trails and significant vertical gain. Registration is capped at a specific number of participants. While the organizers do not offer refunds or deferrals, bib transfers between runners are permitted through the registration platform until mid-May.
