The Chiggy Ultra - 2026
The event takes place in Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia. The park features technical single-track trails and substantial vertical gain; the organizer states about 2200 m of vertical gain per loop.
The event offers multiple race options plus a short trail run. The main loop is mostly single-track technical trail and is likely to include muddy sections. The one-loop option includes three aid stations. Aid stations will close on Sunday afternoon and runners still on course will be managed on a case-by-case basis.
Distances offered:
- The Rockhammer: approx 9 km
- One Loop: approx 51 km
- Two Loops: approx 102 km
- Three Loops: approx 153 km
The one-loop course includes the McGahey Canyon trail and a counterclockwise route around Cape Chignecto. For three loops the organizer notes the distance may fall slightly short of 100 miles; an extra short section can be added to reach an official 100-mile distance. A finishing buckle is awarded for the three-loop option.
Registration policy: refunds and deferrals are not offered. Bib transfers are allowed until September 26, 2025. The organizer recommends considering Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
