The Chiggy Ultra - 2026
The event takes place at Cape Chignecto Provincial Park in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia. The park features single track technical trails and significant vertical gain. Each loop of the main course includes approximately 2200 m of vertical gain.
Course options and typical details include:
- The Rockhammer about 9 km, short hilly trail.
- One Loop approximately 51 km with about 2200 m vertical gain.
- Two Loops roughly 102 km total.
- Three Loops roughly 153 km total; three loop finishers receive a finishing buckle.
The one loop course passes three aid stations and is described as often muddy. All aid stations are scheduled to close by 12 pm on Sunday; runners still on course at that time will be managed case by case.
Registration policy notes that refunds and deferrals are not offered. Transfers of bibs are permitted and may be completed until September 26, 2025. The event references Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection as an optional coverage that can include injury, illness, COVID-19, severe weather, layoffs, and mechanical breakdowns.
