The Chiggy Ultra 2026
The event takes place at Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, W Advocate Rd, Advocate Harbour, NS, Canada. The park is noted for its scenic character, steep vertical gain and single-track technical trails. The course offers about 2200 m of vertical gain per loop.
Race formats are offered as looped distances. Distances listed include:
- The Rockhammer, about 9 km
- One Loop, about 51 km, ~2200 m vertical gain
- Two Loops, about 102 km (two loops)
- Three Loops, about 153 km (three loops)
The one-loop course passes three aid stations and includes mostly single-track technical terrain with likely muddy sections. The three-loop option includes a finishing buckle and organizers note an option to add a short section to reach an official 100-mile distance.
The event policy states there are no refunds or deferrals. Transfers of bibs are allowed via the registration page and are available until September 26, 2025. The organizer also references an enhanced refund protection option offered through the registration platform. Aid stations will close on Sunday afternoon and runners still on course at that time will be managed on a case-by-case basis. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
