The Chiggy Ultra
The event takes place at Cape Chignecto Provincial Park in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia. The park is noted for its scenic setting, substantial vertical gain, and technical single track trails. The course includes about 2200 m of vertical gain per loop and contains notable muddy sections.
Distance options include:
- The Rockhammer, about 9 km, short hilly trail.
- One Loop, about 51 km with roughly 2200 m vertical gain.
- Two Loops, about 102 km total.
- Three Loops, about 153 km total, finishing buckle awarded and option to extend to an official 100 mile.
One Loop reaches three aid stations. All aid stations will be closed by 12 pm on Sunday; runners still on course at that time will be managed on a case by case basis. The event policy states there are no refunds or deferrals; transfers of bibs are allowed until September 26 2025. An optional Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection is offered to cover incidents such as injury, illness, severe weather and similar situations.
