The Event
The Chiggy Ultra is a trail running event held in Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, Nova Scotia, Canada. The event is scheduled for a date in October 2026.
The Courses
Several distances are offered:
- The Rockhammer: A roughly 9 km course described as a short but hilly fun run, with technical terrain and lookouts.
- One Loop: A course of approximately 51 km featuring about 2200 meters of vertical gain. The route is described as mostly single track technical trail, with three aid stations.
- Two Loops: A course of approximately 102 km.
- Three Loops: A course of approximately 153 km. Finishers of this distance receive a buckle.
Practical Information
The One Loop and The Rockhammer races have a morning start time, while the Two Loops and Three Loops races start at midnight. An overall course cut-off is noted, with all aid stations closing in the afternoon the following day. The event's policy states no refunds or deferrals are offered, but participants may transfer their bib to another person up to a specified deadline.
