Light Up The Dark 5K Presented by Chick-fil-A is a glow in the dark themed run that raises money and awareness for the anti-human trafficking work of Unbound. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options and is based at Cameron Park Zoo, 1701 N Fourth St, Waco, Texas.

In-person offerings at the zoo include performances, food trucks, games, a photo booth, and on-site race kit pick up. A Zoo Spectator Pass is required for people who attend the zoo but are not registered for the 1K or 5K; spectator passes are limited to the first 300 purchasers. Race day packet pick up details are to be determined.
Race formats and race kit contents vary by entry type. The in-person 5K is chip timed and includes a finisher medal, event t-shirt, glow gear, and a timing chip; awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each of the listed age categories: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 & up. The in-person 1K includes a finisher medal, event t-shirt, and glow gear and is not a timed event. Virtual "Sofa Edition" entries receive a mailed race kit with glow gear.
