Light the Way 5K: Walk On, Rock On for Mental Wellness
Light the Way 5K takes place on April 18, 2026 in Tyler, Texas at True Vine Brewing Company. The event is presented by The Evie Effect and True Vine Brewing Company and focuses on mental wellness, suicide prevention, and community support.
The program includes a Kid’s Dash for children ages 12 and under, a timed 5K run/walk, and a No Run Fun shirt only registration option. Awards will be presented for the top three finishers in the Kid’s Dash (girls and boys) and for the top three overall 5K finishers (male and female). Finisher medals are provided for the first 250 5K finishers and for all Kid’s Dash participants. Each paid registration includes a drink coupon redeemable at True Vine Brewing Company; Kid’s Dash coupons are valid for non alcoholic drinks.
After the course there will be live music by Fiction Love and a speaker session; the speaker is to be announced. The venue will host local food trucks and Sola Bread, plus sponsor and nonprofit booths and a kids area with glow sticks. Walkers are welcome. Pets on leash and strollers are allowed on course.
Logistics noted by the organizer include early packet pickup the day before at the venue, free parking at True Vine Brewing Company and nearby lots, and a requirement that all participants wear a bib while on course.
