Light the Way 5K Glow Run
The Light the Way 5K Glow Run is a community event held in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Hosted by Youth & Family Services as part of their 50th Anniversary celebration, the event raises funds for the Emergency Youth Shelter and the development of a new shelter facility for youth in crisis. The race takes place at Unity Square and features an evening atmosphere focused on providing support to children and teens.
Participants can choose from several event options:
- 5K: A timed distance through the local area.
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: An untimed participation event suitable for those walking or running.
- Support From the Couch: A registration option that includes an event shirt for participants who cannot attend in person.
The 50th Anniversary celebration at Unity Square is open to the public during the evening. Registration includes an event t-shirt for those who sign up by early June. For the timed 5K, medals are presented to the overall top male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in standard age categories. Additionally, special awards are given to the top three "Most Lit Up" participants who display lights and glow sticks.
Packet pick-up takes place on the Friday before the race at the Youth & Family Services office or at the race location on Saturday evening. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
