LifeWise 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run / Adult Walk
This event includes a 5K run and a 1 Mile kids run / adult walk held at Maumee Bay State Park near the outdoor playground area. The event benefits LifeWise Academy in Oregon City Schools.
LifeWise Academy provides public school students the opportunity to attend Bible education classes during school hours. These classes are held off school property, are privately funded, and require parent permission. LifeWise Academy currently serves students at Coy, Starr, and Jerusalem Elementary Schools in the Oregon City School District.
Distances:
- 5K Run - 3.2 miles
- 1 Mile Kids Run / Adult Walk - 1 mile
Course and participation notes: the majority of the 5K course is paved with a short grass section; strollers may be difficult to push in that area but are allowed. The 1 Mile course is paved and strollers are welcome; bicycles and scooters are not permitted on that course.
Registration details available for each event include fees and registration dates. Fees listed for the organizer's events are $35.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the 1 Mile event. Registration opens August 17, 2026 and closes October 16, 2026.
Packet pickup is scheduled Friday, October 23, 2026, 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hope Community Church, 5650 Starr Ext., Oregon, OH 43616, with additional pickup available the morning of the event at Maumee Bay State Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
