Lifeline's Run for One 5K
Lifeline's Run for One is an annual fundraiser, started in 2011, that brings together alumni families, friends, advocates, and community partners to support Lifeline Children’s global orphan care ministry. The event raises awareness and resources to help vulnerable children access schooling, life skills training, and spiritual care.
The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options. Distances include:
- 5K in person
- One mile fun run in person
- 5K virtual Run Where You Are
The in-person races take place at Veterans Park on Valleydale Road and include family-oriented activities such as bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, and a family festival. The 5K in person uses chipped bibs and official timing. Packet pickup is available at Trak Shak prior to race day. Virtual participants receive a mailed race packet that includes a T-shirt; an additional shipping charge applies for mailed packets and a group discount is available for families or groups of three or more.
Awards are given for top overall male and female and for the top three male and female finishers in several age groups, including 19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, and 50 plus. All registration fees are non-refundable; if the event is canceled for weather or safety reasons, payments will be considered donations to Lifeline’s mission.
