MOTTEP LIFE Walk & Run
The MOTTEP LIFE Walk & Run is an annual athletic event held in Detroit, Michigan. The event serves to promote organ and tissue donation while bringing together donor families and transplant recipients. Participants can take part in the following distance:
- 5K Run
All registered runners receive a race T-shirt, which features a custom design selected through a community contest. The event utilizes electronic chip timing to track participants' progress. Every runner who completes the course receives a participation finisher medal. Additionally, special placement medals are awarded to top finishers based on age categories for both male and female participants.
Beyond the run itself, the event grounds include several designated areas and activities. These features include a free health fair, the LIFE Walk Cafe, and a dedicated Kid's Corner. The site also hosts the Circle of Life Garden and Sebastian's Corner. Specialized support is provided for donor family teams who attend the event.
